The NAWW Warrior Youth Scholarship uplifts young Native students pursuing their dreams, while the NAWW Educational Scholarship assists those furthering their education and career goals. 2025 NAWW Youth Warrior Scholarship
The Native American Women Warriors (NAWW) are proud to offer the Native American Women Warriors Youth Warriors Scholarship to support young Native American athletes and cultural participants in their journey to success. This scholarship is dedicated to assisting Native youth in acquiring necessary resources for their chosen activities, whether it be Native regalia, team fees, or sporting equipment.
Scholarship Details:
Number of Awardees: 2 (one in Spring 2025, one is Fall 2025)
Award Amount: $500 per recipient
Eligible Expenses: Native regalia, team fees, or sporting equipment
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a Native American youth between the ages of 12-19 years old. (federally/state recognized tribes, or descendants)
Must be a child of a military individual who have served
Must submit two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach, mentor, or community leader.
Must provide a short biography that highlights their background, aspirations, and community involvement (up to 2 pages, double spaced, Arial font, 12 font size)
Must provide a photograph
Must complete the online application detailing their need for the scholarship and how the funds will support their goals.
Must provide receipts and/or evidence to how the monies were spent
Must create and share an inspirational video, 6 months after receiving the money, to show how the scholarship helped you.
Application Process: Applicants should submit all required documents, including letters of recommendation, biography, and a completed application to enter. The selection committee, composed of NAWW members, will review applications based on need, dedication to personal growth, and commitment to their community and cultural heritage.

2025 NAWW Higher Education Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Number of Recipients: One (1)
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the NAWW Higher Educational Scholarship:
Be a high school graduating senior
A child of a military personnel who have served
Must provide a photograph
Must be a Native American youth (federally/state recognized tribes, or descendants)
Provide two (2) letters of recommendation
Submit a two-page biography detailing their background, educational goals, and aspirations (double spaced, Arial font, 12 font size, includes one photo)
Complete the online application

This scholarship is designed to support Native American women pursuing educational advancement in the following areas:
Trade Schools
Professional Development Courses
Accredited College Programs
Application Process:
Complete the Online Application: Submit all required information through the official application portal.
Submit Two Letters of Recommendation: Letters must be from teachers, mentors, employers, or community leaders who can attest to the applicant’s character and potential.
Provide a Short Biography: A two-page essay describing the applicant’s background, academic and career goals, cultural heritage, and how this scholarship will assist them in achieving their aspirations.
Meet the Submission Deadline: Applications and all required documents must be submitted by the stated deadline to be considered.

Selection Criteria:
The scholarship committee will evaluate applicants based on the following factors:
Demonstrated commitment to education and professional growth
Strength of letters of recommendation
Quality and depth of personal biography
Completion of all application requirements
Award Distribution:
The scholarship winner will be notified via email and must confirm acceptance within a specified timeframe. The award funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s educational institution or program.
