The NAWW Warrior Youth Scholarship uplifts young Native students pursuing their dreams, while the NAWW Educational Scholarship assists those furthering their education and career goals. These scholarships honor the resilience, strength, and dedication of Native communities by investing in their future.

NAWW Higher Education Scholarship Application
2025 NAWW Youth Warrior Scholarship Program
The Native American Women Warriors (NAWW) are proud to announce the Youth Warrior Scholarship, created to support young Native American athletes and cultural participants on their journey toward success. This scholarship helps Native youth acquire the resources they need to pursue their goals — whether that means purchasing Native regalia, paying team fees, or obtaining essential sporting equipment.
Scholarship Details
Number of Awardees: 2 total (one in Spring 2025, one in Fall 2025)
Award Amount: $500 per recipient
Eligible Expenses: Native regalia, team fees, or sporting equipment
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a Native American youth between 12–19 years old (federally or state recognized tribe member, or descendant).
Be the child of a military service member (active duty, retired, or veteran).
Submit two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach, mentor, or community leader.
Provide a short biography (1 page, double spaced, Arial 12 pt. font) describing their background, aspirations, and community involvement.
Include a photograph with the application.
Complete the online application, explaining their need for the scholarship and how the funds will support their goals.
Provide receipts or evidence showing how scholarship funds were used.
Create and share an inspirational video within six months of receiving the scholarship, demonstrating how the award helped them.
Application Process
Applicants must submit all required materials — including the biography, letters of recommendation, photograph, and completed application — by the deadline for their chosen session - to admin@nawwassociation.com email
A selection committee of NAWW members will evaluate applications based on demonstrated need, dedication to personal growth, and commitment to community and cultural heritage.

2025 NAWW Higher Education Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Number of Recipients: One (1)
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the NAWW Higher Educational Scholarship:
Be a high school graduating senior
A child of a military personnel who have served
Must provide a photograph
Must be a Native American youth (federally/state recognized tribes, or descendants)
Provide two (2) letters of recommendation
Submit a two-page biography detailing their background, educational goals, and aspirations (double spaced, Arial font, 12 font size, includes one photo)
Complete the online application

Application Process:
Complete the Online Application: Submit all required information through the official application portal.
Submit Two Letters of Recommendation: Letters must be from teachers, mentors, employers, or community leaders who can attest to the applicant’s character and potential.
Provide a Short Biography: A two-page essay describing the applicant’s background, academic and career goals, cultural heritage, and how this scholarship will assist them in achieving their aspirations.
Meet the Submission Deadline: Applications and all required documents must be submitted by the stated deadline to be considered.

Selection Criteria:
The scholarship committee will evaluate applicants based on the following factors:
Demonstrated commitment to education and professional growth
Strength of letters of recommendation
Quality and depth of personal biography
Completion of all application requirements
Award Distribution:
The scholarship winner will be notified via email and must confirm acceptance within a specified timeframe. The award funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s educational institution or program.
